Round 3: finish in order

Imagine you have already found 1 through 12. Locate 13, 14, 15 and 16 on this board. Which positions would you tap to finish?

You are planning the last four moves, not choosing the largest visible number first. The large numbers are values; the small labels identify positions from left to right. This is a fixed reading exercise using actual Layout 7 from Daily Number Puzzle.

Show a small hint

Find 13 in the third row. Then scan for each next whole number, even when it sits above a value you just found. Board position does not decide numerical order.

Show the finish and explanation

Choose values 13, 14, 15, 16 at positions 10, 3, 12, 5:

  • 13: third row, second column.
  • 14: top row, third column.
  • 15: third row, fourth column.
  • 16: second row, first column.

There is no requirement to connect these cells. If 16 catches your eye early, keep its location in mind but still choose 13, 14 and 15 first. In the game, the next-number message confirms what to find.

Try it on the same board

Play Number Puzzle: Layout 7. The game opens fresh at 1, not at 13. Find every number in ascending order, then use the final four moves you planned. Completion appears only after all sixteen values.

Reset restores Layout 7 before or after completion. The fixed link returns to this arrangement on another day, but it does not save your taps. There is no timer, score or streak to maintain.

Your three-round practice

  1. Quick Number Focus: start with four values.
  2. Number Order: 1 to 10: move into two digits.
  3. Find the Final Four Numbers: finish in order.
