Remember Two Pair Locations
Two mismatched turns reveal four locations. Choose a remembered partner on Memory Pairs Layout 3, then try the exact sequence in the game.
Difficulty: Normal
Memory practice: 3 of 3. Try this round by itself, or start with Two Reveals, One Remembered Pair for a one-location warmup.
Four reveals, one next choice
Imagine these first two turns on Memory Pairs Layout 3:
- Open card 1: moon, then card 2: diamond. They do not match.
- Open card 3: circle, then card 4: star. They do not match either.
On the next turn, card 7 reveals a diamond. Which card should you choose to complete that pair? After finding it, you open card 8: moon. Which earlier location helps now?
Keep a symbol and its position together. A mismatch from an earlier turn is still useful information, even after those cards turn face down. Position numbers identify places; you match symbols, not numbers.
This is a fixed, untimed read-and-solve exercise using the game’s twelve-card Layout 3. The whole board is optional; the reveals above are enough to answer both questions.
Look at the whole board (optional)
| MoonCard 1 | DiamondCard 2 | CircleCard 3 | StarCard 4 |
| SunCard 5 | TriangleCard 6 | DiamondCard 7 | MoonCard 8 |
| TriangleCard 9 | SunCard 10 | StarCard 11 | CircleCard 12 |
Show a small hint
The two symbols in the first turn appear again at cards 7 and 8. Remember which was at 1 and which was at 2. The circle and star in the second turn belong to different pairs.
Show the choices and explanation
After card 7: diamond, choose card 2. Both show diamonds. Card 1 was a moon, so choosing it would repeat a mismatch rather than use the known partner.
After card 8: moon, choose card 1. The first turn has now helped you find two pairs: 7 with 2, then 8 with 1. The more recent circle and star do not replace those earlier facts.
For a complete practice route, the remaining pairs are:
- 12 and 3: circles.
- 11 and 4: stars.
- 9 and 6: triangles.
- 10 and 5: suns.
Every position appears in exactly one pair. There is no need to memorise this complete route to enjoy the game. Remembering just one useful location is enough for a next move.
Try the same board
Play Memory Pairs: Layout 3. Tap 1, 2, then 3, 4, then 7 and your chosen partner. The mismatch stays visible until your next card tap; there is no automatic flip timer. Continue with 8 and the other remembered location.
Reset restores Layout 3 with all cards face down. The link opens the same arrangement on another day, but it does not save matches. Finish now or bookmark the board for a later break, without a timer or streak to maintain.
